Well, I’m not going to make that pose now (laugh). I thought I was going to be making a Facebook Post on DK Custom Products site telling them 45 minutes must be for people with zero mechanical skills. Vstack intake install#At first I thought it was going to be a 10 minute install because it seemed so easy. Took me a solid 2 hours to install the seat. I want to find something matte-black like plugs or something so it looks nice and uniform now. I have to do some rear fender work because the stock holes are exposed and mis-matched with how they are plugged. I am very happy with the solo bobber seat. Also you can rock your hips a bit to the left and right and it makes your lower back feel good (a little movement and adjustment on rides can really lengthen how long you can endure the pain of the ride sometimes). So you can feel yourself ease back in the seat more than the stock seat (doesn’t hold your butt forward as strong). fast acceleration… the seat does not have the very distinct upturned back edge that the stock seat has. I started laughing when I crossed the railroad tracks because I normally let out a loud “UMPH” each time… this was barely a bump at all. It slipped right over them with minimum feel. went over some manhole covers and rail road tracks that I am very familiar with. Still well within safety limits but I ride my bike a LOT and I am having to get used to the higher center of gravity now.Īlso. Makes the bike feel taller and your legs have to straighten out a bit more to put your feet on the ground. The bobber seat puts me up in the air about 1-2 inches higher than the stock seat. Also the first look of the solo bobber seat. This shows the coil relocation and ignition switch kit on this side of the bike. Once you install it you wouldn’t think twice about buying another for your other bike. Don’t even blink at the $67, it’s worth double that easy. Vstack intake upgrade#I have the INSANE bright LED light upgrade from DK Custom Products in the light bucket now. I will offer a few pictures and comments below: Vstack intake update#This post update are the final results of the installation of a new solo bobber seat as well as a new Outlaw V-Stack Air Intake system. You can view more pics, dyno videos on my instagram rustylcog is my handle. In my previous posting you were shown a video of me installing the DK Custom Products coil and ignition switch relocation kit. In either case a final drive and a lsd will be installed.Īfter i will focus on a better header and intake manifold. Next I will be focusing in on the transmission, not sure wether ill be bulding the current one or trying to grab a dohc one. (i would go on to build that car for close to 10 years, multiple motors, turbo 400whp, all motor 250whp etc etc) oddly enough my friend who tuned the crx, ended up buying the same dyno i was on over 10 years ago, so its great for comparison ! Vstack intake full#its first set up was a all motor 10:1 redtop sr20de 2 liter twin cam motor with jwt s4 cams, full underdrive pullies, intake, header, exhaust, injectors and a tune. Side note, my goal was 154 whp, reason for this i had a 1993 nissan nx2000 more then 10 years ago that i built and loved. Im sure there is power to be gained below 7k and well be able to tune past 7k. RyWire jumpers came in last week and cleared up the issue instantly, I will redial the car in very soon. It was breaking up randomly at all rpms, it also would not allow the engine to rev past 7k rpm. Engine was breaking up very badly due to faulty obd0 to obd1 jumpers, we only manged a handful of clean passes on the dyno that we could dial the car in.
